colored sand

to color sand mix sand, few drops of food coloring, and little bit of water then lay it out to dry.
Was also told you can do it with kool aid the same way add sand, kool aid pack, and little bit of water then let dry. (we did not use kool aid cause I added the sand to our sand box outside and did not want bugs)
