Candy hearts play for babies

Easy way to let babies explore candy hearts. We placed a bunch in a zip lock bag and duct taped it closed. Never to early to talk about the colors, shape, and feel of the candy hearts.~ No matter how you close the bag a baby should always be watched during this activity.

Indoors snow car bin~

We filled a bin with snow and took it inside for this fun truck bin idea.

Valentines Day play doh with sprinkles!

For this activity we added different Valentines day sprinkles to regular store bought play doh. This turned out to be a bigger hit then I thought! Once the sprinkles are mixed in the play doh take on a whole new texture. Would love to do this again maybe with edible play doh or with play doh that has a rose smell to it. Either way this was a fun way to get into the Valentines feeling. <3 <3 <3

Chocolate covered (heart shape) strawberries and marshmallows

Need~ Strawberries Marshmallows  sprinkles chocolate chips sticks tooth picks plastic knife To make the strawberries heart shape we cut them in half then placed them next to each other and cut any extra off to make the heart shape. Stick a tooth pick in them when done and keep it in till they are covered in chocolate and cooled. We used sticks for the marshmallows to make them more of a handheld treat for little ones.(helped keep them clean) So once you have the strawberries cut and the sticks place in the marshmallows it is time to melt the chocolate. This is how we did it~ Place chocolate chips in a medium pot over low/medium heat. Keep mixing till melted. Make sure to keep mixing so it does not burn. Once all is melted then dip marshmallows and strawberries. I dipped and my daughter decorated them with sprinkles once done. Do not let them cool first or the sprinkles will not stick. After all are decorated we place every thing in the fridge for a hour so th...

Duct tape animal ears

need~ duct tape headband scissors This is a easy idea to add to any dress up play time. Simply cut a small  piece of tape and place it around any headband. Add another so you have two "ears". once done cut out the shape of ears you want and done. :)

Toy Animal blankets made from duct tape

need~ toy/stuffed animal duct tape  scissors\ Step 1~  Lay out enough duct tape to go around the animal of choice. Make sure the tape over laps the one before it a little.  Step 2~ Lay more tape over the strips you all ready have down.(now you should have no sticky sides showing) Step 3~ cut out a  rectangle. (making sure it is still long enough to cover the toy from neck to bottom.) Step 4~ fold it in half and cut out a crescent shape were the neck will go.  note~ to get  the blanket to stay on you could use velcro dots but we just cut a  small piece of duct tape and used that. The brown horse we put tape under and in front, the white horse only in front.

Simple duct tape wallet

All you need for this idea is duck tape and scissors.  Steps~ 1. Lay two long pieces of duck tape (sticky side up) on a table. Lay one piece little less then half way over the other. (remember still sticky side up...so right now you should have two slightly over lapping pieces) 2. Lay two more pieces (sticky side down) over the other two. (now you should not have any sticky sides showing..front and back should both be smooth) Cut any extra tape off. 3.To make the pocket cut one piece of tape the same size as the wallet then cut another one so it is longer then the wallet itself. Lay the smaller piece on the longer piece in the middle. (so you should have sticky tape showing on both sides) 4. Wrap the long piece of tape around one side of the wallet. (now you should have a pocket with a open bottom)  5. To close to bottom and finish cut another long piece of tape and run it along the bottom of the wallet so that open pocket is now closed.  Note~ the...
